Holy schitt...this memorial talk was bad, boring & a waste of time!
I noticed of the 120 frame participants...close to 50 (42%) of those participants had their video camera off.
well i did it.. i attended the zoom memorial ( in respect for my mum).
it was very strange to say the least.
everyone had bread and wine at their houses.

after you read the words of jesus in mark 2: 17, you will see that the contrast between the teachings of jesus and the governing body.. .
you clearly read what's written in the bible, but the society is always twisting and bending scriptures to their benefit.
here is stephen lett talking about ''spiritually weak'' members and twisting jesus's words teaching on sinners:.
The one word that comes to mind is: Exemplary
The WT has made it a practice of using this word when inviting publishers to be members of the Bethel family...to international conventions and the like. They specify only Exemplary Publishers need apply whenever they make announcements of upcoming special events.
I remember back in the day & it's still done today that only exemplary publishers were to be interviewed during certain Kingdom Ministry parts. On the other hand any dufus could join the Ministry School.🤣
It's almost as though WT has its own caste system in place. Spiritually strong publishers who are pillars are a must in this organization...spiritually weak not so much..Yes very pharisaical in nature!
i am just curios if the letter about not having unauthorized studies has been announced yet to the congregation?.
i am just wondering if it will opens anyone's eyes.
i sure hope it does.
Not so far this week. It may not be read to the congregations...someone said it may have been addressed: To The Elders Only
No problem...how many elders will read this letter and think to themselves: "The nerve of these a-hole Governing Body!"
what is the most insensitive thing an overseer or elder has ever said and done to you?
i have had many insensitive things said to me by some elders, but for some reason one self-righteous elder was always on my case.
he didn't like the fact that i missed meetings, didn't like that i never went out in field service, that i didn't answer at the weekly meetings and he didn't like that i carried my books and magazines in my hands and not a service/book bag.
Another insensitive comment that originated with the Governing Body that I've heard from local elders both from the podium and one on one:
"If your child is old enough to drive then he/she is old enough to be baptized!"
Or put more directly:
"If your child is driving...why isn't she/he baptized?"
Now imagine yourself a parent or youth in the audience and hearing this!

I've heard this from way too many elders:
"The disfellowshipping of your loved one is the best thing for him/her...They'll return stronger than ever!"
Most never return...if they do...they have the stigma, scar & shame of the disfellowshipping and shunning like a dark cloud over them for a very long time & it hardly ever goes away!
so yesterday while i was doing some work for a customer, i noticed the wt mags on the sofa.
and i asked the elderly man if he was a jehovah witness?.
he said that he and his wife and all his children were raised in the religion, but only he and his wife attend the meetings or zoom.
Wow...you just can't make this stuff up...what an experience pistolpete...thanks for sharing!
Multiply this JW old timer's gloomy & unfavorable situation with the WT religion by the number of congregations worldwide (120,000) and you have the remaining shelf-life of this religion as a whole.
So, if each congregation has...say...10 publishers in their 60s to 80s who have strong cognitive dissonance feelings like this older couple toward WT...then that alone says a lot about the troubles this religion has now & the days to come.
My guess is upwards of 25% or more of WT publishers/membership heartily feel this religion is a load of crap!
my husband is going in on tuesday to have surgery to repair a badly torn rotator cuff on his right shoulder.
he is right handed.. he's 51 and is great about exercising and staying in shape.
however, while doing push ups, his shoulder just snapped.
I currently have a tear just below the Rotator Cuff. I had several doctors look at it and give me my options. I had a doctor who was only too happy to cut me up...only for the money. Another doctor was very helpful...said he'd have to cut through a lot of tissue, other tendons & muscle to get to the tear. He gave me a 70 to 80% recovery. He also said that atrophy might be a problem after surgery. My injury is not as painful as a rotator cuff tear. I opted to nurse it along & go without surgery...but of course, unlike your husband, I hardly have any pain. I currently have 80% use of my arm without surgery. I was also strongly warned that if I tear the tear I'm going to be in big trouble...it's been a good 15 years since the initial tear & I still nurse it along being very careful not to make the tear worse. Believe me when I say..."I feel for your hubby"!
perseverance rover has been on mars for a few weeks.
its mission is mainly to analyse martian soil and search for signs of extinct life.. also, perseverance is the first martian explorer vehicle fitted with a microphone, so audio recordings of sounds on mars can be beamed back to earth and heard by us.. these sounds that you can hear in the video are happening nearly 35 million miles away.. pretty awesome, i gotta say ….

Wouldn't it be something if all of a sudden you hear a coyote yelp somewhere in the distance!🤣
someone is researching jehovah’s witnesses.
they happen to come on to this site.
do the witnesses have the truth??.
The name 'Jehovah' is a 13th (1275?) century concoction of a word invented by a Spanish Catholic Monk...not to mention that God's personal name was not even mentioned in the earliest 1st century writings. The very name JWs embrace (Jehovah) is a mockery and a lie...opposite of truth!

this is a sobering reminder of what happened some 40 years ago when raymond franz and others were literally kicked out from the jehovah's witnesses for having pre-arranged private spiritual discussions.lesson: paragraph 7 is another example of the i and t in dr. steven hassan's bite model of the 21st century cult - information and thought control at its best!!!!
"my gosh, there must be a lot of independent meetings these days.
It's going to get to the point where JWs separating into 'Break-out Rooms' when in a zoom meeting are going to feel a bit nervous wondering whether they are breaking WT rules.
Yah...I've also noticed a number of Elders in our congregation putting in 'overtime' by forming meet-ups with singles and elderly-ones on off-meeting nights.
I'm really okay with this March 2021 announcement letter about banning 'Private Meetings'. I'm looking forward hopefully this month when this letter is read to the congregation. It sure as hell will wake up a number of the servant body as well as a good number rank and file. Just another example of WT leadership shooting itself in the foot!
